Life Story for Antoinette Washington

WASHINGTON-Antoinette, known to all as Nina, passed peacefully in her sleep
early Sunday morning. Nina was 91 years old, remarkably strong, loving and
endurant. She was a widow for 11 years, married to her husband Eddie for 63
years. Nina was a devoted, loving mother to Edward, Ron, Ken and Cathy.
She had 13 grandchildren in addition to 14 great-grandchildren, including two
newborns. A first generation descendant of Italian parents from Stromboli, she
was raised in the Flatbush district of Brooklyn, one of five siblings and is survived by her twin sister Grace.
We will miss our Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma Nina, and her keen,
expressive, innocently-intended conversations.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3rd, from 10 am until 12:30 with
funeral service at 12:30 pm, Hawkins & Davis Funeral Home, 17 Manor Road,
Smithtown, NY. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
