The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Helen Havran can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Heaven has another angel tonight. My Godmother and Aunt, Helen Havran passed away last night at the age of 92. Aunt Helen was my mom’s older sister, and was basically a 2nd mother to my two brothers, my sister and myself. Aunt Helen is the reason I love dogs and especially German Shepherds. Aunt Helen was the 1st accomplished Dog Trainer I ever knew and her dogs never competed a day in their lives. The real testament to her expertise was that while I was growing up her dog Korki traveled almost everywhere with her and my Uncle Paul and Korki was welcome everywhere they went. Remember, this was a GSD, not a Yorkie. On the rare occasion that they would show up somewhere without Korki, at least a half dozen people would always ask her (almost always with a disappointed voice) Where's Korki? She usually had to answer with something along the lines of: "You do realize this is an indoor wedding at Tavern On The Green and Korki is not a Service Dog." (lol). As she got older, and it was no longer feasible for her to continue to have her own dog, she helped me raise mine and all of them loved her as much as they did me...…. Rest in Peace Aunt Helen and I hope Korki, Kira and Rain were all there to meet you along with Mom, Dad and Uncle Paul. I WILL LOVE AND MISS YOU ALWAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
